Customized Slurry Pumps Equipped with 53A Flush Plan

2026/03/10

Tenglong Pump & Valve has successfully completed the production, inspection and commissioning of a batch of customized slurry pumps equipped with the 53A flush plan. These pumps have been delivered to the customer and put into industrial application. Supported by multiple core technological upgrades, they precisely meet the demanding working conditions for slurry transportation in chemical, environmental protection, metallurgy and other industries, providing reliable equipment support for efficient, safe and green operation and maintenance (O&M) in the sector.

The delivered slurry pumps are customized products developed by the company for complex medium conveying conditions. Integrating a number of industry-leading technologies, they have achieved all-round breakthroughs in material selection, sealing systems and O&M modes, effectively improving the stability and reliability of equipment operation.

Material Selection

This batch of slurry pumps adopts a composite structure of HT250 lined with Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE). This structural design retains the core advantages of HT250—high strength and high rigidity—while significantly enhancing the equipment’s corrosion and wear resistance through the excellent properties of UHMW-PE. As a lightweight, high-performance engineering plastic, UHMW-PE effectively resists erosion and wear from particle-laden media such as slurry.

Meanwhile, all parts of the equipment in contact with the medium are free of copper and zinc components, eliminating medium contamination at the source. This makes the pumps suitable for applications with strict requirements on the purity of conveyed media, further expanding their scope of application and aligning with the current industry trends of green production and refined operation.

Optimized Sealing System

Sealing system optimization is one of the core technical highlights of this product line. The slurry pumps feature a dual-face cartridge mechanical seal design. Compared with traditional sealing structures, cartridge dual-face mechanical seals offer the advantages of easy installation, simple maintenance and reliable sealing performance. The two sealing faces form a double-protection system: even if the primary seal malfunctions, the secondary seal can still effectively isolate the medium, eliminate leakage risks and ensure production safety.

In addition, the innovative non-shaft-sleeve design completely solves the industry pain points of traditional shaft sleeves—easy wear, leakage and high maintenance frequency. It effectively reduces equipment failure rates, extends service life and lowers customers’ O&M costs.

53A Flush Plan & DCS Remote Monitoring

These slurry pumps are specially equipped with the 53A flush plan and integrated with a DCS remote monitoring system, achieving dual improvements in intelligent O&M and operational safety.

As a standardized optimization plan designed for pressurized dual-face seals, the 53A flush plan works by supplying clean, stable barrier fluid continuously to the mechanical seal chamber from an external independent pressurized barrier fluid tank, equipped with a precise pressure regulating device. The barrier fluid pressure is strictly controlled at 0.1–0.2 MPa higher than the sealed medium pressure. This effectively removes frictional heat from the seal faces, keeps face temperatures within safe limits, and forms a high-efficiency protective barrier that prevents solid particles in the slurry from entering and accumulating in the seal chamber. It avoids wear and scoring of the seal faces, maintains the integrity and stability of the liquid film, fundamentally extends the service life of the mechanical seal, and achieves zero process discharge in full compliance with environmental protection requirements.

The supporting DCS remote monitoring system collects key operating parameters—including pressure, liquid level and temperature—in real time and transmits them to the central control terminal. Staff can conduct remote monitoring, abnormal early warning and precise O&M without on-site duty, greatly improving operational efficiency and reducing manual O&M costs.

Conclusion

The slurry pumps equipped with the 53A flush plan represent a technological upgrade for slurry conveying equipment under complex working conditions, and accurately respond to the industry’s core demands for corrosion resistance, wear resistance, safe sealing and intelligent O&M.

The application of these products will effectively enhance the efficiency and safety of slurry transportation in relevant fields, reduce operation and maintenance costs, provide practical equipment solutions for the refined, environmentally friendly and intelligent development of the industry, and help related industries achieve an efficient and green transformation.
